OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAMME MANAGER POSITION (Ref. OHPM/09/2020)

The position is at Management Level and reports to the Chief Research Operations Officer.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE: NEGOTIABLE

Job Purpose

To transform policy and research outcomes into implementable programmes and monitoring thereof.

Minimum Requirements

•  Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or National Higher Diploma in health related field
•  5 years’ experience in mining environment working in occupational health related field  

Key performance areas:

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Ongoing communication and interaction with stakeholders
• Identify stakeholders, end-users and relevant authorities that would benefit by the outcomes of the research.
• Promoting technical project deliverables to target groups in user-friendly ways: publications, seminars, workshops, demonstrations, launches.
• Presenting the implications of significant project outputs and implementations to tripartite members, professional associations and mine owners.
• All steps in the process are covered and thought through in terms of possible implications to other areas.
• Work and action plans fit in with given project or operational requirements.
• Monitor and continuously report progress against plan.
• Personal development plans are monitored and achieved.
